ABOUT Delores Goudy E.A.
Welcome,
My name is Delores Goudy. I am a Hall of Fame graduate of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. I am currently working on obtaining a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies and Minor of Business Administration with The University of Southern Mississippi. I am an Ambassador for The TH!NK CENTER, an organization with a primary focus of teaching and learning strategies. According to the Philosophy of Adult Education Inventory, I am, as in most of my endeavors, an educator and learner with a wide variety of philosophical approaches. My desire is to promote lifetime learning among individuals; primarily adults, wishing to create significant positive impacts on society, through commitment, development, research, and education.
Sincerely,
Delores
Philosophical History
According to The Philosophy of Adult Education Inventory, I am identified, as in most of my endeavors, as an Educational Alchemist; a Learner, Project Developer, and Educator, with a wide variety of philosophical approaches.
Existentialism, Behaviorism, Progressivism, and Reconstructivism are a set of purposeful beliefs, along with others, that define my personal preferences for creating balance in the organization of my learning and teaching styles as an Educational Alchemist. Determined to develop a wide variety of educational programs, I must, in my role as both Learner and Teacher:
-
Rely on a central philosophy of education that provides for self-definition through personal choice (Existentialism)
-
Explore external forces that present anomalies associable with problems that exist and solutions that are sought (Behaviorism)
-
Produce experienced reflection conducive to life-long learning and evolution of problem solving mechanisms (Progressivism)
-
Maintain a duty to teach and learn subject matter essential for societal transformation. (Reconstructivism)
